Anecdotes: My Horrible Experience
This is a horrible experience about when I couldn’t find a bus to take me home in Vancouver. I remembered the first time I had traveled to Vancouver to study English for a short time. Actually my English was so poor and I didn’t understand the location when I arrived. The first day, I went to school and the teacher told me about an activity of the NBA game in the fall season. That sounded good and I joined the activity after school. The NBA game was very exciting and I had fun. It was around 11:00 p.m. when we returned to downtown. I had to take a bus to home, but I waited around 40 minutes to find out that there wasn’t any bus to stop there. I was so scared and nervous because all of the stores were closed and there were just a few homeless people on the dark and deserted street. Nobody was on the bus stop and I didn’t know what I could do. Then, I saw a bus was coming and I asked the bus driver where could I take a bus to my home. He told me that my bus route was changed after 10:00 p.m. and then he picked me up to take me to another place to take my bus. It was impossible to happen in my country because our bus routes never change even at midnight. Finally, I got home around 1:00 a.m. and it was a thrilling night for me. I will never stay in a place where I have never been to at midnight after this horrible experience.
